Chris, a proud father of three "sports active teenagers", has been dispensing hearing aids since late 2005.

He bought our Salem Hearing Aid Center in 2009 and continues to carry on our family business. He brings a very family oriented "Personal Touch" to the Hearing Aid Experience and has hundreds of very satisfied clients! You really should meet him.

Hearing Aid Specialist

Stephen James is a Hearing Specialist at Salem Hearing Aid Center. In his off time, he enjoys fishing for bass, kayaking with his wife and their dog, Quinn. When he is not on the waters of Oregon, he loves grilling on the Traeger.

Stephen has been helping members of the Linn and Marion counties discover better hearing for over 20 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University. Make sure to ask him about the best steak sauce ever!

Taran Crocker

Hearing Aid Specialist

Taran Crocker has been working in the hearing care industry for over 16 years with several well known and prestigious companies that have offices all over the country including Oregon and California.

He was first licensed as a trainee hearing aid dispenser in 2007 in California where by 2009 he passed both the written and practical examination obtaining his permanent licensure.

He spent several years in California as a nationally recognized board-certified hearing aid specialist before making a homecoming change and returning to his home state here in Oregon where he has been practicing now for several years. Taran has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Southern Oregon University. Before starting his career in hearing healthcare, he worked briefly in local television and in marketing for an electronics manufacturer. He loves to travel and once worked as a contracted English teacher in Japan. Taran enjoys fishing, boating and other outdoor sports as well as quiet time with family and friends that live near by here in Salem and on the Oregon coast. He is here to help and to answer any inquiries regarding your hearing health or concerns.
